Disclaimer & Editorial Policy
How we create content, review products, and stay accountable to the women who rely on us.
Our Promise
GenMeno exists because menopause information is either too clinical to act on or too vague to trust. Every article, every review, and every tool on this site is built on the same standard: accurate, specific, and written for women navigating this, not for anyone else.
If something feels unclear or needs updating, tell us. We listen and keep improving.
Editorial Standards
This covers how blog content, guides, and educational articles are created and maintained.
Our editorial team draws from peer-reviewed research and clinical guidance published by NAMS, ACOG, the NIH, Mayo Clinic, the Cleveland Clinic, NEJM, JAMA, CDC, and WHO. We reference primary sources. When evidence is limited or contested, we say so.
Content is reviewed regularly. When new research changes the picture, we update. Revised articles carry an updated date so you always know what you are reading.
Everything on GenMeno is for educational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice or clinical diagnosis. For any health concern, consult your physician.
How We Review Products
This covers how product reviews are conducted, scored, and published.
The score is not a favor. It is a conclusion.
Every product review on GenMeno goes through our independent scoring process before we publish. We evaluate each product against criteria specific to its category, covering ingredient evidence, formulation standards, label transparency, and accessibility. The process takes time. We do not rush it.
Independence
Every review starts with us obtaining the product, through independent purchase or a brand sample. How we received it does not influence the score or the conclusion.
Scores and verdicts are determined by our criteria only. They are not for sale.
Affiliate Links
Reviews may contain affiliate links. If you purchase through them, we earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It does not change the score.
For Brands
Brands may apply to have their products included in our review program. Evaluations are conducted at no charge to the brand. Where a brand has applied through this program, it is disclosed on the review page. It does not change how we score or what we conclude.
To apply: team@genmeno.com
Reviews reflect the product as evaluated at time of publication. Formulations, labels, and pricing change. If you are a brand and something has changed since we reviewed your product, reach out at the same address and we will take a look.
What the Pattern Tracker Is and Is Not
GenMeno provides a digital ecosystem, including our web platform and mobile applications designed for personal insight and pattern recognition. These proprietary tools are for educational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice or a clinical diagnosis. The data patterns you organize through our systems are meant to empower your self-awareness and better inform your conversations with healthcare providers.
Trusted Sources
Our editorial team draws from reputable organizations and peer-reviewed research. We look to leaders in science and women’s health, including: Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, North American Menopause Society (NAMS), National Institutes of Health (NIH), American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), The New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM), JAMA, CDC, and WHO. Where we reference a specific study or guideline, it is linked directly in the article.
Accuracy and Updates
We review content regularly. When new research changes the picture, we update. Revised articles carry an updated date so you always know what you are reading. We welcome feedback when readers identify something that deserves another look.
